A true Texas native, Dr. Abdelsayed was born and raised in Houston. He completed his medical education at UT Health Houston and his General Surgery training at UT Southwestern, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and received the Gold Humanism Award. He subsequently completed a fellowship in colon and rectal surgery at UT Southwestern & Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, where he trained in the latest robotic and minimally invasive techniques.
Dr. Abdelsayed is an expert in colon and rectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, anorectal disorders, robotic surgery, and gallbladder disease.
A native Houstonian who grew up in Sugar Land, Dr. Albrecht attended the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston for medical school and completed his General Surgery residency in Phoenix, Arizona before returning home to serve the community where he grew up.
Dr. Albrecht places emphasis on both the emotional and physical comfort of his patients throughout every phase of their care. His specialties include laparoscopic and robotic surgery, gallbladder surgery, complex hernia repair, and surgical management of colon, small bowel, and skin cancers, including port placement for chemotherapy.
